Mehmet T. Nane,
Founding Member
Mehmet T. Nane is a distinguished Turkish business leader and Chairman of Pegasus Airlines, widely credited with shaping one of Europe’s most efficient low-cost carriers. He served as Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2022, leading Pegasus through a period of exceptional growth, international expansion, and digital transformation.
Beyond Pegasus, he is the Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Private Aviation Enterprises Association (TÖSHİD) and has served as Chair of the IATA Board of Governors.
Prior to Pegasus, Nane held senior roles at major multinational organisations including CarrefourSA, Procter & Gamble, and SABMiller, where he developed deep expertise in operations, strategy, and high-performance management.
A graduate of Boğaziçi University with executive education from Harvard Business School, Nane is recognised for his disciplined leadership style, strong focus on organisational culture, and ability to drive sustainable, long-term value.
